It all starts when we pull up to your house.
We roll in with a whole build site on wheels — a sand dig pit, an air tube wall, and a block yard for teamwork. We set it up, you throw the party, we haul it all away.

What's inside
Way more than a sandbox.
Every booking is a whole build site on wheels — three different ways for kids to dig in, get their hands dirty, and actually make something. We bring all of it, set it up, and pack it out. You just open the door.
Real tools, clean play-grade sand, and room for a whole crew to work at once.

The dig pit
Clean, play-grade sand and construction-themed tools you won't find at home — excavators and haulers that kids can really put to work.
The air tube wall
Clear tubes, twisty connectors, and a steady rush of air. Kids design their own pipeline across the wall, drop in a scarf or a ball, and watch it go flying through the route they built.
The block yard
Big building blocks made for teamwork — kids figure out how to stack, brace, and engineer a structure together, then knock it down and do it again.
Who it's for
Hands on. Screens off.
The kind of afternoon kids used to have, building, digging, and figuring things out together, with nothing to plug in.
Birthday parties
Built for ages 3 to 8. The whole party happens right outside your door, and there's nothing for you to set up or put away.
Schools & daycares
Hands-on play that fits right into the school day, from preschools and daycares to camps. Tell us about your group and we'll plan around your schedule.
Events & family days
Town events, company family days, and fairs. Send us your date and we'll work out the right setup together.
How it works
We do the setup. You do the party.
Everything shows up ready to go, and we take it all away when you're done. Your part is enjoying the day.
We pull up and set up
We arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time and park right out on the street, so nothing heavy ever touches your lawn or driveway. All we need is about 60 feet of open curb, and your time doesn't start until the kids head inside.
You host
It's your party, so you run the day however you like, from cake to games to timing. A grown-up stays inside with the kids while they play, and if you'd like one of us to stay on site too, just mention it when you book.
We pack it out
When the party winds down, we pack up every piece, sand included. It goes quickly, and we'll be out of your way before long.

Our story
Every crew starts small.
I grew up on the South Shore, and for as long as I can remember I've been into trucks, construction, and pretty much anything that involved getting your hands dirty. I always figured I'd end up working in the trades, but life took me in a different direction. That love for building never went away.
My wife is a first grade teacher, and she sees every day how much kids get out of learning with their hands and working things out together. Somewhere between her classroom and my obsession with building, the idea for Build Together was born.
Now we're raising our own family here, and we wanted to create something that gets kids digging, building, and playing side by side. Technology is going to keep changing the world they grow up in, but working hard and working together are never going out of style. If a couple of hours in the sand helps a group of kids figure that out on their own, we've done our job.

Questions
The things people ask before they book.
Who watches the kids?
You do, and that's really the whole idea. It's your party, so we get everything set up and then hand it over to you. We take care of delivery, setup, and pack-out, and we'll walk you and the other grown-ups through how everything works before the kids get going. All we ask is that an adult stays inside with them the whole time. If you'd rather have one of us stay on site for the party, just bring it up when you book and we'll talk through what works.
How many kids can play at once?
We can host up to 20 kids for a party, with around 10 inside the build site at any given time. With a bigger group that actually works out well, because half the kids will be digging and building while the others are taking a break at the tables in the yard, and they tend to trade places on their own. There's a crew limit posted right by the door so the adults always know where things stand. If you're expecting a larger group than that, let us know when you book and we'll figure out the best way to handle it.
What ages is this best for?
We built this for kids somewhere between 3 and 8. Younger siblings are more than welcome as long as a grown-up comes in with them, since younger kids need a closer eye around the sand. Everything inside is sized for small builders, right down to the tables and chairs, so if your group runs a bit older, reach out and we'll help you figure out whether it's a good match for the day.
Where do you set up?
We park right out on the street in front of your house, so nothing heavy ever ends up on your lawn or driveway. All we need is about 60 feet of open curb, roughly four car lengths, so it helps if you can ask guests to park a little further down. The kids come and go through the door on the house side, safely away from traffic, and we'll set the tables and chairs up in your yard. If you're on a narrow street or a dead end, or somewhere with a lot of traffic going by, let us know ahead of time and we'll work out the best spot together.
When do you arrive?
We usually pull up 30 to 45 minutes before your start time so everything is ready when the kids get there. Your time doesn't start until they head inside, so none of it gets lost to setup. Once the party winds down, pack-out goes quickly and we'll be out of your way before long.
What if it rains?
Rain on its own won't stop us. The build site is fully enclosed, so a wet day just means the kids stay dry inside and keep digging. If the forecast turns into something we wouldn't want our own kid out in, like lightning or serious wind, we'll reach out first thing that morning and figure it out together. Most of the time that means finding another date that works for your family, and your deposit simply moves along with it. If nothing on the calendar lines up, we'll make it right with a credit. Either way you'll hear from us early, and you won't be left wondering.
Is the sand clean?
It is, and we're honestly a little particular about it. We use Sandtastik Sparkling White, the same play sand you'll find in preschools, therapy offices, and children's museums. It's made from feldspar rock rather than quartz, so there's no crystalline silica in it, and no nuts, seeds, wheat, or gluten either, which matters a great deal to some families. Because it lives inside a closed-up build site, it never sees rain, animals, or whatever else blows through a backyard sandbox. We sift it between parties and replace it on a regular schedule. If anyone in your crew has allergies or sensitivities, just ask and we'll be glad to send over the details.
What should kids wear?
Closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get a little sandy are all you need, so sneakers are usually the way to go. We'd steer you away from sandals and brand-new party outfits, because sand has a way of finding its way into everything. We bring a hard hat and vest for every kid, so the rest is taken care of.
Can we do cake and snacks?
Of course, we'd just ask that food and drinks stay out at the tables in the yard. Sand and frosting aren't a great combination, and keeping them apart means the build site stays clean for the next crew too. A lot of families dig first and do cake afterward, which gives everyone a natural breather partway through.
Can you come to a school, daycare, or event?
We'd love to. Schools, daycares, camps, and town events are a big part of what we do. Those bookings usually need a little more lead time, since some places ask for paperwork ahead of the date, and we're happy to take care of that on our end. Reach out and tell us what you have in mind.
How far ahead should I book?
Weekends tend to fill up first, especially in the spring and early summer, so the earlier you reach out the better. Four to six weeks ahead is a safe bet if you have a Saturday in mind, but if your date is sooner than that it's always worth asking, because we can often make it work. A $100 deposit holds your date, and the balance is due the day of the party.
